This past Saturday 4/11/09 in Lakeland, FL the Fantasy of Flight museum held
their annual Mustangs & Mustangs car show. Featuring P-51 Mustang aircraft.
Registered show cars were approx 500 in number. Great weather, and every possible version and year of Mustangs imaginable. I saw Marilyn Franks P-51a there also. She took home a nice trophy. I was in the vender area on the tarmac, so I was not judged. They did however, let me take a few cool pics of my P-51a after the show was over !!!

"Whoa, Nellie" doesn't seem to fit! That's a lot of Mustangs and Fords... My gosh. When we had the "Mustangs at the Queen Mary", I don't think we had that many so congratulations! You mentioned you were in the vendor area; I hope business was good for you.

And the photo of your P-51A with the Curtiss P-40 was a treat, wasn't it?? Wow. And to think you almost lost her several months ago makes it even more delightful...! :)

Thanks for the effort and post!

Not business for me Koji...I had a photo album of the repair of my P-51, so I told Brandon Ford I would spend the day doing PR work for their body shop.
I think I spoke to a 1000 people about my car. That's a happy customer. The dealership was very grateful, and I had fun !!
My P-51a is on the left. We had a contest between the two, 1/2 the people asked picked the unwrecked one on the right as the repaired car !!!

Looks like a fun time. I can't wait for warmer weather and show season to start.
