Sent mine as well. Hope we can get the required 25 cars organized and I'm not the only one there with a NA car. One of you is going to have to let me take a spin in your s/c car so I can see what I'm missing...

Yes, absolutely, but just Saturday.
I had planned to bring the A/Sedan car down. That is a REAL cheap practice day, there are a couple of lines I want to try, but decided I could do the same thing in the Roush.
We race there with SCCA. In fact we opened the track with a SCCA event. Fun course.

Me, too!
Just got a letter from registrar and did change to the A/Sedan car for track day. Guess Linda, my wife, will have to drive 1 car and I'll trailer the other.
Barber is a busy track. No time to rest.

I'm curious how many we have as well. Perhaps there would be better luck getting 25 of us together over on the other forum...

Anyone that has contacted Jerry with their 45th reg info and has not transferred over to the Roush group parking being organized over at the other site please contact me. In email with Jerry he only had 7 people who have signed up, we have 21 as of this writing and I imagine most of you that signed up here are now over there anyway.
Looking forward to seeing all the ROEA members at the 45th! Let's show up the Saleen contingency and make this a Roush gathering like no other!

Jerry,
Please remove my name and registration number from your list of cars attending the 45th. It is being used elsewhere and I am informing MCA that if my registration number is used by other than myself to secure group parking it is fraudulent.
What kind of wang dang doodles run this place? They ask for help and volunteers but are not willing to step up and do anything for themselves. I attempted to help **** organize this event but got nothing but shunned in the process. Roush group parking WILL happen, however it will not be associated with the **** in any way shape or form.
If any of what few members left here cares to join the Roush group parking you know where to go to sign up.

Either way I'll be in B-ham having a good time.

And that is all that matters and looks to me like we are going to have an awesome time in B-ham with fellow enthusiasts doing what we love to do...talk about our cars, show off our cars and make some new friends and reconnect with old ones...and all through an outlet that requires no membership fees.
Please remove my name & number from the parking list also. I'll be parking with **sweet group.

Just to let everyone know that doesn't already there IS a group parking that WILL happen with no thanks to the ROEA. I spearheaded this event on my own since it was obvious the ROEA was doing nothing to promote this event and to make it become a reality. This is one of the premier Mustang events of this decade and all Roush Mustangs are welcome to join us. Due to current circumstances there will be no active ROEA presence allowed, however I will consider inserting ROEA material into the goody bags I am assembling if it is sent to me at someone elses expense other than my own. I will NOT print out the current membership drive flyer, I paid my dues and have received nothing from it short of a small rebate from RPP and have already donated my time and money to making this event happen. Jack would be ashamed of how this club has managed to mangle his name in the interests of a few.
I imagine this post will be deleted and my membership to the ROEA revoked due to this post, hoping a few who are interested in joining us at the 45th see this before that happens. If you would like to join the Roush group parking at the 45th please see this thread:

Sounds to me like he was saying ROEA tried to do this and he volunteered to help but for some reason on another things just didnt work out. He then tried doing it with the help of members from the other site and it worked great...

If I would go to an event like this do I need to wear certain gang colors so my car doesn't get keyed. Do I need to have my Roush hat linked to the left to be one of the cool ones?
Maybe I'll just take the Shelby and let the crying and name calling be all related to that club. OMG give it a rest!
On July 25th at Packey Webb Ford in Wheaton Illinois we will hold a car show for charity. We will inspect for gang colors before designating parking!
No one helps me with that show, I am so upset..:(

Dang people... come on... This has gotten way out of hand on the issue of this site vs "the other site"... had to write that for fear it would show up stars. I think there is a place for both sites, and I for one am thrilled that 06stage2 is taking his VERY VALUABLE time to ensure that we can all park together and feel safe with our cars where they are parked. This is and was meant to include BOTH clubs. My GOD, we all drive a ROUSH!!! Isn't that the point in it all. Think of it like a high school. In school we all had our little clicks, but when it came down to standing up for our school, it didn't matter whether you were a jock, prep, geek, or head you stood up TOGETHER for your school. Lets just all stand up for our ROUSH and have a great time at the 45th! I for one will be there and proud to park next to ANY Roush, doesn't matter what group or club they belong to.
Locally, I belong to the SVT club of Nashville, TN. I don't drive an SVT, but they all except me and treat me like anyone else in the club because we all drive a Ford and we all LOVE cars... isn't that why we are all here, we love cars???? Forget all this childish, and I do mean childish crap, and let's all show the mustang world what a great car a Roush is and put as many of them together as we can. I can't wait to take a group shot of all of them together!!!!
JMO and yes I know, they are like aholes and everyone has one...

Thanks Ronnie. I have/had no intentions of stirring up the pot, just trying to get a group of Roush enthusiasts together at the 45th, unfortunately interest here was dismal so I moved it to the other site. If ROEA members were not welcome to park with us I would not be here publicizing the event. As stated before this is a ROUSH event. Any and all Roush Mustang owners are more than welcome to join us.

06stage2 - OK. So you're saying you're not stirring up the pot... I read nashvillenobody's and 3ponies' words; those words to me are words of camaraderie. Somehow, I don't read your words the same. I thought this was a all-for-one and one-for-all joint celebration in celebration of the cars we love so dearly.

I guess I am a little short with some of this. Clearly the ROEA and the Goroush website don't have the following as FNsweet. Just a fact, but when I and I am using the I word, right or wrong read the ROEA doesn't do this or they do that, I think hey that's me!

This whole parking thing is being blown way out of porprotion...it is all about having a safe place to park your car where you know there will be others to keep an eye on it. I registered on this site first because it was started here...but when it became obvious, it wasn't going to make the 25, I switched to fnsweet parking...it is still all the same people...just being organized by a diffferent group.
As far as "gang" colors go...you have got to be kidding...I plan on wearing my ROEA stuff with pride along with my local car club stuff. Don't have any fnsweet stuff...because of the name...just can't make myself wear it...being a teacher that is well known in my area along with a husband who works with Scouts. However, that doesn't mean I have a problem with anyone who chooses to wear fnsweet clothing.
I plan on having a good time with whoever shows up in Birmingham...don't care what "gang" they are with.

If you go to the SVTOA site check the Windy City we post our events there and on Face Book.

One week left before I need to have our registrations in. We have the second largest group so far, only one less than a group of 42 coming from France that will all be driving rental cars. If you have been waiting until the last minute to register that minute is upon us. Please PM me your registration ASAP. We have both Team Shelby and the Saleen guys beat in number of attendees so far and I would like to keep it that way as well as have the largest group there. Time to get your registration in!

Interesting observation...
Aside from Roushes, 45 years of Mustangs is extraordinary. It's the longest running nameplate next to the 'Vette, unless I'm mistaken. While I've owned five Mustangs, I still can't speak to having true Roush ownership... and I've pumped a little bit of money into this last one with Roush goodies basically because I see it as a last chance with two-plus decades between my oldest child and youngest. It never gets cheaper or easier. :)
But your observation is still interesting. In my nearly four decades of Mustang ownership, I've never had the financial wherewithal to attend such a gala with it being so far away. Time was also a restriction as I've taken only about seven weeks in vacation in nearly 30 years (yes, that is a true statement). Gosh, am I lamenting?
I understand more than 8 million Mustangs have been produced since '64. Then if you trim the Mustang owners down to Roush owners, their geographical locations, plus the unfortunate effects of the economy, venue location and other stuff, maybe 40 isn't so bad? Believe me, if I was was retired and my 401k was very robust, I'd be there... Heck, I'd drive there from California! Heck with road rash!
For the 40 folks attending, give us all a good name!

That also is an interesting observation and very well stated.
Figure they have 2000 cars there (last reg # I got was in the 1800's). Divide that by 45 years. Figure a ratio for number of Roushes made to total number of Mustangs made. Considering we have the largest specialty group registered for the 45th I think 40 cars is a VERY respectable number. We beat out the yellow, black, Saleen, and Shelby groups in number of cars attending. I think that is an accomplishment. The Roush Mustang will be very well represented at the 45th.
Thanks for the words of support Koji!

Not only will we give us all a good name...
We will give those of you who missed it LOTS and LOTS of pictures!!!

Technically the Corvette was not produced in 1983 to make way for the '84 C4 style so due to this the Mustang is the longest continually running name plate. :D

Big thanks goes to 06Stage2 ( Merlyn and Vicki ) for putting our FnSweet ROUSH parking area together. We were told by MCA officials that FnSweet had the largest club group parking area at the entire 45th Anniversary Show second only to the Mustang Club of France. More than the Saleens, Shelbys and other groups.
We were given the best location to park too, overlooking the track. So ROUSH had a great footprint at the show.
Special thanks also goes to Mr. and Mrs. Dayzee for getting trophies from ROUSH Yates Racing for the top three cars in our display. We had some celebrity judges make some quick picks for the top three cars. This was an amazing turnout and all had a great time. :)

My thanks to everyone that attended. Was a great turnout, hope everyone had as good of time as I did. It was good to meet each and every one of you. There is not a greater bunch of people anywhere!

We enjoyed doing it, no thanks necessary. Seeing all those cars lined up along the track Saturday made it all worthwhile.
Wish I would have taken more pictures, depending on everyone else to post theirs up...
Glad everyone had a good time!
