I wouldn't say "ploy", it sounds like I'm trying to trick someone...just something to grab your attention. There are no tricks! :D

exactly it is a marketing play on words ie: ploy.

All good .....good luck with it in this economy.;)
1 question though is it tax deductible if you are receiving something such as this material item ( the car)? I know I would have questions on the tax liability of such a "Donation".

Well as my questions above asks, if you make this donation for receipt of this car then you are receiving something in like kind for your money. Therefore I don't beleive this would be a tax deductible charitable donation.

Now as I don't beleive the Bluebook value of this car is $55k you maybe able to take a tax deduction on the balance above the Bluebook. So say the car value is $40k you could possibly take a $15k charitible tax deduction, however the potential individual would best be advised to ask a CPA just exactly what is feesible.

Quite frankly the way this whole proposal is worded raises many red flags to myself.

Just exactly how does this work Roushelle?
Someone donates to your 5 charities and you then turn over the title to them for free?
So then you are out a car and nothing to show for it?

I see you want the copies of receipts is that for proof of donation from the individual or do you plan on using the receipts for your deduction?

Sorry for all the questions but I just haven't seen such a proposal before.

Marc

It plainly says all that on my charity page. Yes. I am giving it away NO STRINGS!! I have a giving heart and since God has blessed me, I want to bless others. The receipts are only for the proof that the money was donated. It IS completely tax deductible. I have checked with my CPA. I am not forcing anyone to do anything to get the car. If someone donates $55,000 to these charities out of the goodness of their hearts then I will gift them my car title for their generosity. I know it doesn't blue book for that. But the amount of money is NOT what I think the car is worth, it is the amount that I feel would be good for the charities. Same as some people spend twice as much for something on Barrett Jackson if the $$$ is going to charity. You all can think what you want, but I am just trying to raise money for these charities. They have been laid on my heart and God has given me the spiritual gift of giving. God will send someone in HIS time to donate. I am in no hurry. I will continue to show the car and enjoy her until the right time comes.
