Okay...I wasn't paying attention :o when I heard someone talking about this before...but now I am. It is my understanding that there are 3 different colors of grey/silver on the P-51 and that each represents something different that has to do with the original plane. I know about the green, but not the silver...any help would be appreciated.

Actually there are 2 colors of silver which represents the retrofitting of the plane parts after their missions. The rear spoiler & the hood scoop have a lighter silver than the rest of the car. I have included a piece from an article where Jack Roush describes the silvers:
The paint treatment of the body kit components is a slightly different hue of silver which corresponds with the theme of the World War II fighter. "The original P-51 Mustangs had varying shades of stainless steel and aluminum as they were repaired and retrofitted in duty", said Jack Roush. "So it looks like the paint might not match here and there, but it is deliberate".
