Well I come home from work today get on the pc to read e-mail and I notice the smell of smoke and wood burning.

So i think the neighbors sparked up the grill for supper and disregard.
Well it gets stronger so I get up and look out the window at the neighbors...nope they aren't there look out the front window and there is a fire going immediately across the street from my house.

So I call 911 to get the FD going run across to the neighbors to let them know and then I get the hose out, I live out in a rural area and it takes awhile for th e-services to get here.

So the hose just make it and I am able to keep the fire from spreading towards mine and the neighbors, it takes the FD 15-20 minutes to get here!

Apparently some idiot flicked a cigarette out into the dry brush and it ignited!

What a way to end the work week!

Good thing you checked it out and were home. That could have been really bad. I thought those were just a problem out West.

Glad to know you and everyone else is alright.

Ya that was all I could think about and how these things get out of hand out west.

I know it isn't recommended to stick around and try and put it out, but no way I am leaving everything I own behind without a fight.;)

I see you traded the BJ for the 51 congrats, was it a tough descission?
Would have been for me.

It was very hard for Jerry...he almost turned around about half way down to Texas...but after he drove the P-51A...he didn't regret it. Plus it looks like the Cobra is going to go home with one of the employees at GP and not some little punk kid who wouldn't appreciate what he had.
