No I am having this built for me, I don't have the time for such a project right now and one of this nature would take all my time. I would be working on it night and day!

It is about 2 months out so I should have it for Michigan if the weather is good.

It could be anything from a 4 cylinder nissan to a BIG Block 572!!!

Post up lets see how many actually pick the right one.:D

In keeping with the theme of relative authentisity - you must use a 427.

Just heard from the dealer the headers are at the ceramic coater and the seats at the apholsterer, they are going to be heated for the cool nights or mornings.;)

Saturday might be optomistic:(
But I have waited 5 months I guess a few more days wont hurt much .......:p

For those interested here is my build page http://www.vintage-motorsports.com/gallery/BDR671

It is called INDI Blue and the stripes are Titanium. I debated long and hard on the color and at the time of order it was between the INDI or the INDIGO.

After long thought I went with the INDI.
More pics to follow as the progress proceeds.:D

They have a day or so before the power train install as they are waiting for the headers to come back from ceramic coater.

Hopefully the Round up in Michigan will have good open top weather so I can drive this beast down Woodward Avenue!

I have bunkbeds (4 post lift) in the bay behind it.;)
One sleeps on top and one below.
The truck goes on the other side.
The DD may stay outside or one may sleep in the Car trailer over winter. The trailer is clean and insulated.

Great ride, one of my favorite activities at Shelby Rallies is drooling over cars like this!

What is the plan, Cruise & show? Some track time??

It is really really nice..

:DDoes this answer the question.;)
The ride is awsome the sound deafening power rediculous and lethal......perfect!!

I actually just trailered to the dealer for a once over yesterday before the spring season.
Might actually get her some custom indiglow blue gauges while she is down there.

I bought her for a cruiser although she has the power for tracking. Drove her at Waterford for a spirited parade lap last year and I think she liked it I know I did.

Snapped the half shaft at MILAN though:mad:IRS rearends aren't good for the 1/4 mile and a well prepped track!!

Marc, did you ever come up with a solution to the over heating you faced during Dream Cruise or is that common for this type of car/engine and slow moving traffic?

We were at Milan and I knew you had issues but I really didn't know what you had done. It is a beauty! Good luck!

Marc, did you ever come up with a solution to the over heating you faced during Dream Cruise or is that common for this type of car/engine and slow moving traffic?
SOme cars do have this issue,it did not overheat but the temps were climbing in the stopped traffic so I did not feel I needed to tempt fate and pulled off.;)
It only took about ten minutes for the temps to come back down and it was fine otherwise.
The shop is going to see if there is any air trapped in the system as the location of the radiator and return tank is is not optimum but the design of the car does not leave many options.

I also turned the idle down as it was about 250rpm to high, I had asked one of the Roush engine reps up there were it should be and he said 1000 to 1050 and mine was about 1250rpm.

Other than that no issues for the coolant, they did just come out with a better radiator for these cars with 30% more cooling capacity.Probably will invest in one by next season.

Marc:cool:
