We discovered when we put the BlackJack on the trailer after the Texas track event that it was leaking around the axle. Needless to say...Jerry was concerned. Well he took it to Ford expecting the worse and found out that the vent tube on the axle is too short if you are pushing hard on a left turn...which we did on the track. Seems the fluid in the axle will come out

Ford doesn't think it is a problem...guess you shouldn't be pushing the car hard in a left turn...anyway...they checked it out and everything is fine...replaced the fluids and called it good.

Jerry talked with someone at Roush and they know about this problem. They have corrected it on the Track Paks by extending the vent tube...guess they knew they would be driven hard on the track.

Just thought some of you might need to know this if it looks like your car is leaking near the axle.

That's good info Cherie, since I'll be heading to Putnam Race Park May 3 for some road course driving.

When Jerry spoke to Roush, did they happen to say anything about the vent tube being used on the TrakPak, being available for the other Roush vehicles if wanted/needed?

No mention if available yet, but if enough people start having this problem...maybe they will. This was the first time he ever had problems while on the track. He probably wouldn't have known it if we had put it on the trailer. There were some really sharp left turns on this track, however.

Have fun on the track.

Just want to make sure that everyone knows that this is a Ford problem...not a Roush problem. Roush just solved it for the Track Pak.
