Where are the people? You know you can nominate yourself. It's easy! Remember this club can't continue to grow unless people want to particiapate. So sign up! You won't be sorry!

I think due to the lack of chatter on here over the past few months people have forgotten about this forum. The fact the e-mail notifier isn't working doesn't help either...IMHO

The lack of chatter on here is due to the summer months and due to the fact that Facebook is a ton easier for people as it connects to your phone should you set it up.
The e-mail notifier thing has been a problem we've been trying to work out for some time now and is ongoing. Our Constant Contact system is up and running and seems to be working quite well which would or could take the place of the e-mail notifier system on the forum. Just fyi, We've (Cameron) been working on the new forum and it's almost ready to be rolled out. I've seen it and it looks very well put together and will be a lot easier for people to use/interact. Be patient. We all work during the day... :)

Jason. You can run for any spot you like. I know one thing we need is someone to help us run Carlisle. With you being closer than us it may be easier for you??? Plus you've got the banner. Win win. Interacting with the local people and even some who aren't so local is a big help! Take a look at the Secretary spot and see what you think. I think you could do it!

On another note here...
We are currently working on getting the Round Up set up before Christmas (just in case the love of your life wants to get you the coolest Christmas gift ever) and at least if not two ROEA events per month during the whole year. Now this isn't going to happen overnight but even right now we aren't short on events.
What we need for real is more people in the western states to help out to make it easier for us to grow. So if you know anyone out west who would like to help out let us know. I've sent out some invitations to people I know and we'll see how it works out. I really want to try and grow this club but need support to do so. I contribute and so does Cameron a ton of time to keeping the ROEA alive and would like other people who feel the same way to make the commitment like we have.
Anyone live around where the Roush Yates shop is in NC? FB, call, text or e-mail me. Something cool is in the works!

Jason, you are an asset to this club in whatever means you choose to follow. I think you would be an excellent addition to the officers of the club.

I am approximately 2.5 hours north of the Roush/Yates shop. I do not know if I can help or what is needed. I really don't know of any other member close to me or any club meetings in this area. I know I have not been a member or an owner very long.

When are you retiring? You would be great to be in charge of roving track days around the circuit.
3ponies
10-19-2011, 01:27 PM
Mark, With the curent administration I will never hit my retirement goals. I have a couple targets. No more than 3.5 more years, a certain $ amount in savings or a moroon that POs me so much I start to smack him! These are my guidelines. March 2012 to March 2015. Somewhere in there! My buddy with the new boss is retired he would like roving track guy duties too!

10-19-2011, 02:08 PM
I hear ya...I thought I was on target too but with the stock market and the economy who knows. Biggest issue with being a National club is the time and territory it covers.

The attacks by people who ran for office, got elected and then resigned. The whole personal attack thing that drove away 1/2 or more of our members. That Cyberattack. I admit there has been nothing in a long time but if I am to be considered to help the club you need to know what my drivers are :)!

"COMRADERY" Develope that and the rest will fall in place. In the early years of the club I was at many get togethers and events where we all where together from dawn till the wee hours of the morning having fun dining out and enjoying our cars. If this club can regain that and keep those whom seek to destroy it silent- it will once again have success. Don't give them merit nor the attention they seek.....

Rick- As long as I can help it everyone in the club who even thinks about attacking anyone personally will be delt with and probably removed if possible. I don't want this club to resemble anything of years past and I think we've done a pretty good job of keeping going in a positive direction. I don't want our forum or our Facebook page to be negative in any way. With all the cool people, cars, stories and everything else we don't have room or time for the junk.
Does that help at all?
