Ok, so summer is here...mod season started a month or two ago. Let the mods begin!!

I have a 2009 429R, it has 3400 miles on it.

So, last year i bought the offroad mufflers from Roush. Those actually made the car Quieter than the exhaust that came on it. But, I had bought the stage 3 valance so I had little choice if I wanted the rectangle tips.

I had problems with the shifter so I had that switched out at the dealer for the "new" one that supposedly didn't stick. *it still sticks when hot* I love the look of the Hurst/Roush but, id rather have performance than looks.

The car is mostly around town with the occasional "once every two month 300mi road trip"

I stopped by a local performance shop and got some prices and ordered some new goodies but, I need your help continuing the list!

1. BBK X-pipe with hi-flow cats ordered and should be installed on Fri.
2. Ordered MGW short throw this morning.
3. Struts for the hood, *i hate the hood prop* should be installed Fri.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was thinking just bolt ons, and easy mods.

4. 4.10 gears with new rear end cover
5. SCT Tuner?
6. I like the Steeda CAI but, i might go with BBK
7. new pulley's but, if i'm not mistaking an upgrade that the 429 had over 427 is a smaller pulley?
8. new valve covers
9. radiator shield *perhaps a carbon fiber one to match the interior pieces*
10. Custom dyno tune, what's the average price per hour for that?
Feel free to give input on these things or if you have any ideas let me know.

For the gears FRPP.

SCT tuner - yes

CAI, take your choice. Ask your tuner which he prefers.

Smaller pulley - I'd go with Carmen's 2.57, custom tune required but you are looking at that anyway.

Valve covers I think everyone here has been getting customs from Roush/Yates. FRPP is the other choice.

Radiator cover I have no suggestions for. There are several out there.

Custom Dyno Tune.... well that depends on where you are at. For a mail order tune VMP Tuning (http://vmptuning.com) is a good choice. Justin knows his stuff. His 500hp tune is awesome. Good place to buy your SCT tuner from as well.

Radiator Cover = Bang A Stang! Not sure what you do with your Roush tag though. No more planned Mods on the 09 Black Jack this year. I have the Roush Yates Valve Covers and the Black Over Flow Tanks.

My track wheels are Gt500 with Black and Cooper S3s. The track calls this season! See you at the Round Up??/
