Just turned 300 miles yesterday on the P-51, and, out of nowhere I am hearing a scraping sound, which sounds like it may be in the front passenger side wheel. I am going to bring her in to Ford Monday.
Any guesses?
Thanks everyone.

I would guess rust on the brake disc but I am far from a pro.. I will be interested in your findings with Ford. Good Luck!

Is it scraping all the time or just when you turn the wheel?

Well before I answer, how do you like it compared to the SuperSnake?
OK, now that I got that out of the way...mine did the exact same thing. They fixed it once, and a week later I had it back. Thebrake piston was sticking and rubbing the brake pad against the rotor very lightly. They replaced my front brake sembly on warranty, but it took 2 efforts to get it done right.
Anhy questions, feel free to call me. I've been through plenty with this car, including 3 tunes to get it where it is today, but all are from Roush and still under warranty.

Living on a gravel road I am constantly getting rocks lodged in the brakes. Is that a possibility?

Thanks for asking.....Everything, (except the unuseable horsepower), is BETTER with the P-51, handling, cornering, sound, just overall performance.
Anyway, I will have her flatbedded to Ford Country Mon. morn. I think you hit it right on the head because your description sounds exactly like the sound it would make. I couldn't figure out what else it could be. Did you get that high pitched scrape sound?
Thanks Kevin.

I kinda figured as such. Brake pad rubbing wouldn't have a high pitched scrape sound unless it was down to the rivets which no way would you be there in 300 miles. Them pebbles can make a heck of a racket until they finally fall out.

I'm glad it was something easy like that.
