Does anybody know if Roush makes a computer programmer for the nitemare, or anyone or place I could later in the future get the speed limiter removed.(when warranty expires)? If SVT DIDN'T put one on the L at 140mph why Roush at 95 mph? It kinda doesn't make sense! Don't get me wrong I really love my truck, but I WAS DISSAPOINTED when 92' Hyundai passed me up in the highway!!! FOR SHAME!:

O. k. maybe I exagerated a little but the limiter is set at or around 100mph, but still it shouldn't have one! I think if you fork out your hard earned money to purchase one of their fine cars they should at least point u to a derection on where to get it done.

I know my F150 shuts down around 96-98 so I guess they never took the limiter out for the Nitemare.
I have an Edge Lightning programmer, but that voids warranty.
That really sucks!

You know what would suck worse? If you remove the limiter and find out where the driveshaft comes apart...
The Lighting didn't have one because it's a totally different truck with a different drivetrain.

Yeah ur rite, but whats the point of having something u thought was fast if u can't get every last drop out of it. Me and the boys at the garage have little saying (YOU BREAK IT, YOU FIX IT , NO MATTER THE COST!) Mr. Drive it like u stole it.

I'm all in for what you say. I just want all the peeps to know why it's like that. I don't want anyone to get hurt. This link will help to understand a little better.

I use it on my stock F150. I have a 2005 model. Its just called a "lightning" programmer. It has 3 tunes, and copies the original to a stored file in case you want that tune back. I'm highly doubtful it will work will a S/C though. It is a clone of the Edge "Evolution" programmer.

Maybe Diablo Predator will work on yours??? Not sure but you can contact them. 1-888-OBD-TUNE

I kept my Diablo predator from my 03 Ltng. and I'm not sure of even trying it. Might mess up the computer in the truck or something.Any thought's??

Well, I'd call Diablo and at least ask fortheir opinion anyway. I just ran through my programmer and I CAN change just the speed limiter without changing anything else. Just for sh!ts and giggles I put it up to 125. It would probably take this truck a week to get to that speed, even if I was brave enough to drive it that fast (and between you and me...I'm not)
Good luck with your search. I know how you feel. Back when I owned my Stage 3 and had my behind handed to me by a V6 Infiniti 4 door, I felt like I just threw $50k away for nothing more then a great soundtrack from the exhaust and good looks. Then I have these 2 young kids laughing at my BIG V8 ROUSH like it was a Prius.
I went off the deep end and opted up for more power. I hope you find what you're looking for as well. Revenge is sweet. You should have seen the look on that guys face the next time I ran into him. He wasn't expecting what he got. I just wish he would have had his friend with him that time as well. I'm sure he wasn't bragging, if he even said anything at all.

Thanx for the good info. I just might call up Diablo for their opinion, all I really want to do is take the limiter off and not change the Roush tune. It,s just good to know you have something good under the hood, kinda like a loaded gun ready to use when u really need it.(for protection of coarse!).

Good luck trying to bump the speed limiter without getting a custom tune. Roush generally locks down their tunes and you can't get into them.
