Put this on your calendars for 2010
http://www.midamericafordmeet.com/index.htm It is one of the largest meets in the country. If you have never been...it is worth the trip.
It is June 16-20, 2010...rumor has it that RP is coming this year...sure hope it is true.

Cherie, shouldn't this be in the non-ROEA events section? Also if I'm not mistaken this event isn't even in the ROEA North Central region nor is it in several of the other regions you posted it in...
Darn, I need a map of the regions.
Not griping, just asking a question...

Well I see it is now in the right section...maybe since RPP is rumored to be in attendance we can MAKE this an ROEA event!!!

Yep, in the correct region now. This would be an awesome ROEA event, not sure I can make it though...

LOL...yeah I need a map also...but I posted it everywhere because there are people who come from all over for this event. It is not a regional event.

I hope the rumor is true...Jim Wright tried for years to get this to be a big ROEA event...hopefully it will work out this year. Would love to see large #s of my fellow Roush lovers in the Tulsa area.

This is a hard choice between the Hot Rod Power Tour and this event. I love the tour but hear so many great things about the Shelby event... At least I have time to consider options!

All depends on if you want to drive very slow with a large group of cars...or put you baby through her paces on a road course...the choice is yours ;)

Cherie,
Beck & I were just going to do the car show this year because of the "Tude' of some of the folks from the past 2 years but if RP is going to come , we will change our minds and attend the whole event! Is it a "Sure Thing" about Roush Performance being there??? For those who need to know!!!

It clearly is not the track but 5 Ponies running as a group on the back roads in the Mountains in Tenn is not really a slow group. 8 days, 4000 cars, drag racing, car shows in every city and BBQ every night is hard to pass up too!
Decisions, decisions, decisions!

Will and Lindsey from CarFx were at SEMA and talked with Al (Roush truck driver and excellent cook) he said he thought they were going to be there. Will keep you posted with developments.

In the above message from me, in "Tude" i meant the way some people were snubbing the folks with Roush, Steeda, and Saleen Mustangs; to make things clear. JMO
Hoping for a reply from someone in the "KNOW"!!

I would not count on any Corporate support this year but you never know...
We can have a ROEA Southern Round up in Tulsa. I am for any kind of get together we can muster. Tulsa is a good location for a ROEA event. I guess we can look at it if everyone wants to .....

Good because i have been talking to Jim Wicks and MRT. We can get the track at Hallett for Saturday. This can be the ROEA track day and MRT will help sponsor the track day too..
So what do you think of Saturday as the Roush Track day at Mid America?

I think that would be awesome...most of the Roush people run on Saturday anyway...Jerry and Ponyexpress know the Stevens very well...let us know what you need on our end. We could even do a cookout there. The track had one for all their drivers on Halloween so I know they have the setup.

Just found out that the Thursday night cruise has changed locations. We will now be cruising to the Brady Heights Historical District which is in downtown Tulsa. Should be fun...will post more info as it becomes available.

It's not until June...so hopefully by then the roads will be clear. I am sick of all this white stuff...really feeling the need for speed!

Were gonna wish we had the white stuff if it's as hot as it was last year!

Cherie is it a real Roadrace or High Performance driving with no paint rubbing? I keep looking at this event and will do it some year when I don't do the Hot Rod Power Tour. It looks like a blast.

^^3ponies...it is high performance driving...no paint rubbing...you really need to come down sometime...we always have a great time. They have different classes so you can drive as fast or slow as you want. On Friday, they have the Late Model and Vintage race...they are not technically a race because of insurance issues...but they really get after it on the Late Model and Vintage.

The word is it is a super event. While I work I just can't do the HRPT and this event. Maybe one June soon I will get tired of the tour and do this one!
