Several folks including Roush performance suggested I consider a set of track wheels on Darth. The smoked chrome wheels on the Black Jack are not easy or cheap to replace. Soooo I am thinking of a Pyramid Scheme! I never fell in love with the GT500 Wheels on my 08 White Vert. I am wondering if these 18 inch GT500 wheels will be good track wheels for the Black Jack? I think I saw Track Dog was running some.
I would then get some upgraded wheels for the GT500 Vert!
Thoughts???
I am thinking of wheels like this on the GT500

Thanks 01roushstg1, appreciate the feedback.
My wheel replacement plan depends on will the Shelby Wheels that are 255/45 ZRs in the front and 285/40 ZRs in the rear be OK on the Black Jack for the track. The current Black Jack tires are 275/40 ZR all the way around.
If the Shelby Wheels won't work on the BJ then I should just buy some cheap track wheels for the BJ and leave the Shelby Wheels as is for now..
Soooo much to learn!

Rick I was told the same by me speed shop, to go with the GT500 wheels for track wheels, but I believe I'm gonna make them all the same size vs. staggered. Plan on going with toyo tires with them. All for next year, this year is almost done. Plus I need to get some tow hooks done up, front and back. An idea presented by my speed shop was to go with a small tow hitch in the back to haul tires and then its adaptable for a tow ring as well. Neat idea. Looks like the road course bug is hitting us hard.

I would agree...go with the GT500 rims....I have 2 sets as well...18" Argents and 17" Chrome bling ROUSH stockers...the 18's get all the drive and wear (cause they look COOL, and give the car a meaner stance)...the 17's are waiting patiently for th eend of Sept when I'm done with the track.

The GT500 Wheels have 255/45s in the front and 285/40 in the back. I assume this is no big deal. I don't want to move these to the new GT500 Wheels..

Thanks much, I have already started an order with a local guy for some Black GT500 Wheels and tires. He takes really good care of me. If by any chance this does not work out I will call for sure. What a great option you offer.
Thanks
