The Roush Round Up was a Blast!

Thank you to Gary and Deb for all the work to make the event such a success. I would like to thank all the participants in the 3 days of planes, cars and driving! I loved the family environment and we had 3 generations from one family at I believe every event!

I saw and enjoyed people who are from, ROEA, fnsweet, Windy City SVTOA, SVTOA, Indiana Shelby Club and I'm sure countless other clubs.

Guys - as you know I started road racing motorcycles and had a race last weekend and could not make it to the Round up. Boy looking at all these pictures made me homesick - miss you all and the event. Hopefully next year won't have the conflict.

I attached a picture of me racing. This weekend came in 2nd out of 9 in 3 races, 3rd in another.

We talked with the gentleman who owned this truck. He told us the paint job alone took over a year. The carbon fiber was a real challenge.

Sorry Koji, I'm just now getting back to the forum. I drove 23 hours straight from Michigan to get home. Yes, thats my SR1blackpony at Roush. I had alot of new Roush extras installed on the car while I was there. We had a wonderful time. Gary & Deb Burdell did an excellent job putting together the ROEA roundup. Everyday was fun filled from daylight til dusk and I mean that literally!! GOOD JOB! I will try to get my pictures posted sometime this week. Thanks.

Shirley, do you have any of the pictures from the Roush display on Mustang Alley or the Waterford Hills track of my car? I will send what I have of yours too. The only picture I have is of Gil driving my car, I would like to have some with Traci driving.

Can't wait for the next ROEA roundup, Traci & I met alot of very nice people.

^Good to hear from you, Gary. Were beginning to wonder if you got lost driving back home! Hope the trip home was uneventful. Our trip was LONG, lots of race traffic leaving Monday morning and construction everywhere! The GSP listed our average travel speed at 47.5 mph for the trip.
We are finding it hard to get back into the "swing" of things since Roundup...you know, that back to reality thing isn't a whole lot of fun!!

Yes, I know I'm having trouble getting back in the swing of things myself. Traci & I really enjoyed your company and had a blast with the ROEA. I will pm you. I averaged 65pmh on the way home.

We averaged 80 mph + on the way home, pretty much clear sailing all the way. Cops were thick the first 50 or so miles out of Livonia, after that we never saw a single one.
