I have not seen a thread regarding this. My feeling is that the new design is reminiscent of the difference between the 67' and 69' stangs, in that the front end changed to resemble a Camaro. I am also not a fan of the rear, anybody else share those camaro thoughts?

Last week end there were about 6 2010 Ponies at the Springfling in Nashville Indiana. The SVT guys brought 3 and there were speakers from Mustang development. The sequential tail lights look great on the road. The dash cluster is way coolers. I think overall the interior is better. The performance and track options are really cool.
My block is the rear end. The Mustang development guys said it is their vision of how the rear of a Mustang would wrap to the rear legs. They made some interesting points and said, " It will grow on you".
The 10 GT500 has a lot of the stuff I want to add to my 08 GT500.
I feel the Roush 2010's I have see are unstated. The graphics are too small.
My feedback on this Memorial day!

When my seven year old saw the 2010 up on my monitor at home, the first thing he asked was, "Hey, Papa, is that a new Pokemon?" No kidding. That's what he asked.
I share the same feelings about the interior and other refinements as most of you...including the dastardly rear end. Grow on me? Don't think so... Even if someone dressed it in garters and stockings, I won't like it that rear end... but if you're talkin' fishnets - well, maybe. ;)

I still wonder what Ford was thinking when they designed the rear of the stang. The bubble look wasn't a good idea. I thought seeing it in person would change my mind. Nope! The rest of the car is good.

I concur about the Roush 2010 versions. They've got to jazz them up some more. With the 2005+'s, they made dramatic changes that made them distinctive as Roush's. So far all I'm seeing is the stripping, the rest of it is pretty much Mustang GT, excluding the performance changes. The majority of the Roush owners are men and we all know....men are visual, so....if the cars exterior doesn't appeal to us......we'll, I'll leave it up to each of us to draw our own conclusion.
I liked the Mustnag rear design from the start, but I am weird like that. The Roush design makes it look better (suspension setup, wing & etc).

what??? like i have a choice to like it or not. it is what it is and frankly the butt view of the new camero is as depressing as GM's financial future. the 2005-09 was a hm run and the 2010 a line drive with a man on third - not great but i can live with it - as if i have a choice. besides i am pretty sure enuff HP (GT500 or i pray every day for a new 5.0) will make is forget all about that odd looking rear end.

I think a few of us saw the 2010 Roush cars at the 45th in Birmingham...here's what I like:
- the vented hood on the 427R vert
- the sharper/crisper lines...very much like the New Edge design when the
99-04 model came out.
- the black chin/rocker/rear will grow on me...depending on the body color.
If it can scoot like the GT500...that'll be very NICE. I figure it should and then some.

I agree and hope Roush moves forward with some of the options that they have on the Red one. I too think in time the 10 will grow on us and we'll like it more than we do now. I saw this one at the Ford display at the 45th and liked it and the options it has, especially the rear wing. Maybe its the two-tone black on white that made it look better...looks longer.

not to worry the after-market will make better louvers.

I too do not like the rear end design...looks like my friends Chrysler 300...a luxury car not sports car. The Roush wing really helps the look but the first thing I would do if I had one would be to paint all that ugly plastic.
When I saw the concept for the 2005 model in Tulsa at the Mid America Shelby show it too had an ugly rear end...Ford has wanted to change the rear for years. Back then it looked like a corvette rear end. I told the Ford rep back then that they had to change the look of the rear...they did...I am sure it was my influence ;)...sure wish they had asked me about this one as well.
And yes...that rear end makes it look fat :D

Yep, as the wife said...the new one has no "hips" anymore. Must be a "woman" thing. Not that there's anything wrong with that.......as I await for the PC police to knock on my door........

If the PC police do come a-knockin', then they're labeling us oldies but goodies not PC... :D

A change, yes, as perhaps the log in the back is the only thing that's left from '65 but they both shout, "Mustang!"

There is ONE...its the inverted ones that give the look of the 65-66 functional vents...
